Cancellation and Refund Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-20
This is a scheduled revision. It takes effect on 2026-10-20; the prior applicable terms remain in effect until then.
1. Scope and seller
Citronnier, Inc. operates SBHNews. This English policy explains web and app-store subscription cancellation and refunds alongside the Terms of Service. Contact [email protected]. The policy does not eliminate remedies required by U.S. federal or state law or other applicable law. It explains the scheduled October 20, 2026 terms; before that date, the applicable prior terms and mandatory law govern.
2. Stop automatic renewal
For a web subscription, sign in to My Account, open subscription management, and choose cancellation to go directly to Stripe. Confirm cancellation in Stripe and retain its confirmation. You need not complete a survey or accept a discount. The confirmation shows when access ends and whether renewal is stopped. Contact us promptly if the flow fails or you are charged after a confirmed cancellation.
Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and preserves access through the already-paid period. It does not automatically refund that period. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal time shown in your billing account; a local date display alone may not identify the exact cutoff. We do not impose an additional advance-notice period on cancellation.
3. When a refund is reviewed
- Company-caused duplicate charges or overcharges: request correction; confirmed Company-caused overcharges are refunded in full.
- Unauthorized charges or billing after a confirmed cancellation: contact us promptly so we can investigate and stop further improper charges. This does not limit your rights with your card issuer or payment provider.
- A paid service not supplied, a material service failure, or defective subscription consent or required notices: we review the facts and provide the remedy required by law or the accepted offer.
- A statutory withdrawal or refund right: we apply the relevant eligibility, timing, and remedy even if the general cancellation policy would otherwise deny a refund.
- Change of mind, unused content, or forgetting to cancel: these do not create an automatic refund under this policy. We review any request under applicable law and any expressly offered refund terms; approval is not guaranteed.
We do not advertise a universal seven-day, fourteen-day, or thirty-day money-back guarantee. Any separately offered guarantee must specify its own eligibility and deadline before purchase. There is no additional Company-imposed deadline for submitting a request under this policy; legal deadlines may apply, so contact us promptly.
4. Submit a request
Email [email protected] from the account email where possible. Include the purchase channel (web, Apple, or Google Play), transaction date, amount and currency, receipt or invoice reference, and the reason. For a cancellation issue, include the cancellation confirmation if available. Do not send a full card number, password, government identification, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
We investigate the transaction and applicable terms, request only information reasonably necessary, and communicate the decision and explanation by email. If approved, we identify the amount, method, and refund status. Mandatory legal response or repayment deadlines take priority; this policy does not substitute an unspecified review for a legally required refund.
Applicable state protections take priority. For example, where New York law applies, an increased or previously undisclosed recurring price requires either affirmative consent before the charge or an opportunity to cancel for at least 14 days after that charge with a prorated refund of the remaining service term. Where Delaware law makes a noncompliant renewal voidable and you void it, unused prepaid amounts are refunded on a prorated basis within 30 days of voiding. These examples do not limit other statutory remedies or create a general 14-day deadline for all refund requests.
5. Refund method and timing
Approved web refunds are initiated to the original payment method unless that is impossible or the law permits another agreed method. We explain any alternative before using it. Processor and bank posting times vary, so the refund decision, refund initiation, and appearance on a statement are separate events. We provide the refund reference or status when available. No discretionary change fee is deducted from a mandatory refund or Company-caused overcharge correction.
6. Plan changes and remaining credits
Plan changes are quoted before confirmation using the actual discounted price and unused period. Unless the change screen says otherwise, a negative settlement creates Stripe customer credit for later web invoices; it is not a cash refund. Cancelling renewal does not automatically cash out that balance. Ask support to review unused credit and any refund right. A legally required cash refund is not replaced with credit. The corresponding credit is offset when a cash refund is made for the same adjustment.
A voluntary KRW annual-to-monthly change can incur the disclosed fee described in the Terms of Service. That fee concerns the plan change, not cancellation of future renewal. It does not apply to a mandatory refund or Company-caused correction.
7. Apple and Google Play purchases
Apple purchase: manage renewal in Apple subscriptions and request a refund through Apple Report a Problem. Google Play purchase: manage renewal in Google Play subscriptions and follow Google Play refund instructions. Eligibility and processing are governed by the store's rules and mandatory law. Contact us if you need account or purchase-identification help; we cannot issue a Stripe refund for an Apple or Google transaction.
Removing an app does not cancel billing. Account deletion is distinct from cancellation and refund and can end account access. Check the purchase channel's renewal status before deleting your account. These procedures do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
